Research On The Setting Method Of Traffic Safety Facilities On Mountain Highway Through Villages

The mountain highway through villages is an important part of highway routes.With the continuous development of economy in our country,the living standard of people is getting higher.The travel demand and methods are also making changes,especially in the rapid increase of tourism.The village sections of highway take on much transit transport,which is complex and has a big range of speed.The safety facilities in the village sections of highway is insufficient,and of low standard.In addition,the weakness of safe consciousness of villagers also results in the increase of traffic conflicts and hidden traffic hazard.Therefore,it is of great realistic significance to enhance the research of safety feature and traffic facilities setting methods and guarantee system of the village sections of highway to ensure safety in driving and enhance the safety level.This paper did traffic condition research on the road alignment,road condition,sight distance and surrounding of the village sections of mountain highway.The traffic volume,car models and velocity distribution characteristics were analyzed.The data of the traffic accidents of the recent three years was collected and the distribution of the time,place,car models and forms was studied.Then the influence of man,car and surrounding was concluded,and the traffic safety feature of the village sections of mountain highway was analyzed.A setting method of traffic safety facilities in different village sections was proposed forming a guarantee system of safety facilities via analysis of the kind and function of safety facilities considering the traffic characteristic and safety present situation of village sections.In the end,with the real cases in Longyan Fujian,the method was tested through the research of traffic facilities improvement using the traffic safety facilities setting system and the risk assessment of improved sections.This paper states the setting method and guarantee system of safety facilities of village sections of highway,establishing the foundation and practise guarantee of improving traffic safety level of typical sections.This paper mainly considers the traffic safety facilities setting method and safety,lack of effectiveness and economy and more study about these should be done in the future.
