Since the end of the cold war,the concept of “diaspora” has become more and more widespread in many disciplines. We can find diaspora in cultural studies, social anthropology and other disciplines. As transnational ethnic groups, diasporas are associated with their homelands through various types of transnational behavior, and in the process diasporas have impacts on their hostland, homeland or related countries.Because of its history, identity and political system, diasporas living in different countries play different roles in the relationship with their homelands.Armenian diaspora is one of the diasporas concerned by international academic circles.Armenian diaspora was originally used only to describe traditional diaspora communities resulting from the Armenian genocide, and with the spread of the concept of “diaspora”,Armenian diaspora has gradually become a proxy for Armenians throughout the world who do not live in the Republic of Armenia. The Armenian diaspora in Russia and the United States,as the two largest diaspora groups, has a significant influence on the Republic of Armenia, while the roles and influence mechanisms of the two diaspora groups in influencing the Republic of Armenia are different due to differences in identity, influence and political system in the United States and Russia Federation.
