In the modernization process of country,institutional change and social transformation will have a fundamental impact on individual's destiny.If reservoir immigrants want to re-establish their own independent communities in the new social network,inner self-identity is the precondition for the steady development of emigration.Immigrants as passive recipient to accept the role play,transition,and the process of social adaptation,under the guidance and rendering by national discourse,whether they really have positive cognitive,seek approval and self-actualization on reconstruct identity,is an important topic to explore the issue of immigration problem in sociologyImmigrants from the Danjiangkou reservoir area are involuntary migrants,and they have made many sacrifices for the construction of state hydraulic works.Thousands of people forced to displaced as “reservoir migrants”,they lost their original organizational structure and social relation network because left their native land,all the symbols and logos related to the former identity will fade away.The migrating in space brings identity crisis and identity anxiety to immigrants,seven years have passed,what is their attitude of the current new identity? In this paper,the main method is the combination of literature search and empirical investigation in the studying of this thesis,investigate the differences of identities in Z village of C city from the crossgenerational difference angle.Methods this thesis used individual in-depth interviews,according to the results of individual interviews,analyzed the cause and background of cross-generation difference,summed up the characteristics and differences between three generations of Z village in identity.Taking the older generation as an example,they seem to accept the current identity out of frustration,actually felt complex and contradictory from the bottom of their heart,moreover,displace the farmers from their land exacerbated their disappointment.The identity change of Middle-aged generation showed “marginal person” mentality to face the issue of contradiction and conflict under the pressure of family life.On the contrary,younger generation behave in the opposite way,on the basis of accept the current identity,they participate in the construction in a more positive way.In the national planning process of reservoir resettlement,recognize the identity differences between cross-generations,the government can be targeted to support and care immigrants in the process of social adaptation and integration,also have a significant reference to the improvement of reservoir resettlement.
