Research On Job Satisfaction Of Law Enforcement Officers In Taiyuan Food And Drug Administration System

As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the desire of people to have a better life quality growing rapidly.The assurance and improvement of food and drug quality are a significant part for a better life.President Xi Jinping specified at the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: We will initiate a food safety strategy to ensure that people have peace of mind about what they're putting on their plates.The food and drug administration and its law enforcement officers are responsible for ensuring people's “safety at tip of the tongue”.The job satisfaction of food and drug regulatory law enforcement officers has a great influence on the quality and effectiveness of their monitoring work,and therefore increasing their job satisfaction is beneficial to the improvement of their work motivation and their work attitude,which has an important practical meaning for the management and construction of food and drug supervision team.In this paper,the researcher combined her own work experience with reference to relevant domestic research literature,compiled the “Taiyuan Food and Drug Law Enforcement Officers' Job Satisfaction Survey Questionnaire”,and conducted the survey among 250 law enforcement officers from Taiyuan Food and Drug Administration,the administrations of six districts,their subordinate institutions and agencies.Then statistical methods such as t-test,one-way analysis of variance and multiple stepwise regression analysis were performed to analyse the current situation of job satisfaction among food and drug regulatory law enforcement officers,discussed separately the effect of demographic variables and dimensions on the total score of job satisfaction and established a multiple stepwise regression equation.The results showed that: overall job satisfaction of food and drug law enforcement officers in Taiyuan was basically satisfactory.Bycomparing the demographic variables,the total score of job satisfaction was significantly different in age,length of service,marital status,family atmosphere,monthly income and type of contract;while there was no significant difference in the factors of education level,job position and job type.The three factors that contribute the most to the total score of job satisfaction are the type of contract,age and monthly income.To improve job satisfaction,we must combine the actual situation of the Food and Drug Administration,strengthen Party consciousness,political awareness and political ability,strengthen ideological and political as well as business skills training.Additionally,reasonable incentives and better career plan are also able to improve the job satisfaction,work enthusiasm and their proactivity of food and drug regulatory law enforcement officers in Taiyuan City,in order to strengthen the responsibility of food and drug law enforcement officers and the quality of monitoring work to better protect people's food and drug safety.
