A Research Of Chen Duxiu's Outlook On Culture In New Culture Movement

In the new culture movement period,Chinese thought field was interweaved with new and old culture,and the change is unprecedented.As a radical intellectual of old China in the 19^th and early 20^th,Chen Duxiu has a unique argument logic for culture.He always regards that change China?s national character as an exploration target.In the choice of rationality and criticism about traditional east culture,he chose to follow the path of cultural exploration in the west.To evaluate his eastern and western cultural views on the basis of dialectical materialism and historical materialism is not only the requirement of respecting the history and original works,but also the prerequisite for the contemporary review of the cultural views.Based on the early cultural thought of Chen Duxiu,this paper adopts the research method combining literature research and comprehensive analysis,and elaborates on Chen Duxiu?s cultural view.The first chapter gives an overview of Chen Duxiu?s research on the background and purpose and methods and meaning of the research on the cultural views;The second chapter systematically discusses the background of Chen?s cultural views.Under the influence of multiple factors both at home and abroad,Chen Duxiu chose to abandon tradition and learn from the west;The third chapter elaborates on the connotation of Chen Duxiu?s cultural view from rationality and criticism two aspects;The fourth chapter mainly discusses the abuses of capitalist democracy in the first world war,and his cultural outlook changed,and turned into one marxist step by step;The fifth chapter makes an objective evaluation of Chen Duxiu?s cultural view and it?s contemporary value.At the present times,to realize the great rejuvenation of national culture,we should fully absorb the historical experience and lessons of Chen Duxiu?s cultural concept and deal with the relationship with the outside world.
