This paper aims to analyze the political risks of the Belt and Road infrastructure project.First,starting from the origin of political risk,it introduced initial definitions and types and subsequent theoretical development,pointing out the interoperability of risk sources.The main part looks into features of countries and districts along the Belt and Road.Then,in the third and fourth chapter,according to the characteristics of the areas along the Belt and Road,the risk analysis of the specific regions and countries of the Belt and Road initiative found that the most common political risks are political instability and the game of big powers.In the following chapter,taking the Colombo Port project in Sri Lanka as an example,political risks are put into practice for analysis,and the performance of regime change risks in specific projects are analyzed.The conclusion part pointed out that there are many political risks in the construction of the Belt and Road initiative.It proves that risks are interconnected.In carrying out the Belt and Road infrastructure investment in the future,it is necessary to make plans for these risks.Integrated perspective should be used to study political risks and more attention should be paid to the uniqueness of these political risks.
