Research On The Populism In Contemporary Western Anti-globalization Trend

The global financial crisis which broke out in 2008 made the new liberalistic economic globalization confronting a major crisis.,and its important feature is the reemergence of the worldwide anti-globalization movement.Anti-globalization movement has profound reasons with reasons in historical,economic and political aspects,which was influenced by various social trends of thought.Populism as a very active social trend is playing a very important role in the contemporary anti-globalization movement.The paper try to sort out the historical evolution and contemporary manifestation of Populism comprehensively,and analyze the economic and political reasons why it spreads and its social foundation deeply,and reveal its profound influence on the world history,and discuss how to deal with the current anti-globalization and the strategy which can prevent the harm of Populism on the great rejuvenation of China and modernity to China's social transformation at last.Around this goal,the thesis is mainly discussed from the following aspects:The introduction part just tries to explain some facts.First,it introduced the phenomenon of present populism in contemporary anti-globalization movement.Then it relates the research and the results of both domestic and international studies of populism and anti-globalization movement,and points out the insufficiency in the study of this field while objectively affirming the exist achievements and their positive significance.On this basis,it logically introduced the perspective of the paper,the subject of the study,the method and the aim of the research.In the end,it briefly manifests the value and significance of the thesis.In addition to the introduction,the text of the paper is divided into five parts:In the first part,it not only illustrated the clarification and definition of two categories—— "globalization" and "anti-globalization",but bring both from history to reality as they are the most important social phenomenon in the contemporary world history.The paper tried to find the intersection of the history and logic,and illustrated the background of the contemporary Populism.In the second part,starting from the dialectical view of history and logic,the paper expounded the historical occurrence,development and contemporary performance of the Populism,and revealed the populist from Russia to spread to the world and its Renaissance in the contemporary economic,political,and social and cultural factors,and revealed the inherent dialectical relationship with the capitalist economic globalization.In the third part,the paper deeply analyzed the inherent relation between anti-globalization movement and populism which is sweeping western developed countries today.Especially it illustrated the interaction and interrelationship with western party politics and voting democracy.In the fourth part,the paper,from the perspective of the world's history,has assessed and analyzed the possible historical effects of modern western populism.The paper pointed out that Populism has some positive significance in exposing and accusing the negative consequences of globalization led by neoliberalism,but it is a historical reactionary to try to reverse the global historical development trend of economic globalization,and its possible negative effects cannot be underestimated.In the last part of the paper,it evaluated the negative and negative effects of contemporary populism which may impact on the transformation of China's social modernity and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and it put forward some policy Suggestions on how to resolve its negative effects.
