On The Urban Ethnic Relations In The Process Of Urbanization:Kaili City As A Case Study

From ancient times,China is a united multiethnic state.In the long course of history,all the ethnic groups Ethnic have closely been contacted through various ways.Each Ethnic ethnic group learned and absorbed one another in the process of communication,and gradually formed of interdependent and inseparable relationship.Since China's reform and opening up to the outside world,our country has largely formed a new socialist national relationship of equality,unity,mutual assistance and harmony.Urbanization is an inevitable trend of the development of human society,at the same time,the migration of ethnic population is more frequent than ever with the acceleration of urbanization.When a large number of ethnic people have been migrating to urban areas for life,they have also briought the traditional cultures,special diets,customs and habits of the region to the cities.Therefore,they promote the diversified urban economic development,enriched the ethnic material and cultural life and infused a new blood into the urban development.it has been promoting urban management development of the city to deeper and higher level for this reason.however,the urban Ethnic ethnic relations also demonstrate more complex new characteristics compared with before with new Ethnic ethnic relations graduallybeing nurtured and formed.The acceleration of urbanization is deeply affecting the its relations of cities not only providing a good opportunity for building harmonious Ethnic ethnic relations,but also bringing challenges to the stability of ethnicethnic relations.This thesis based on this,takes Kaili city,Qiandongnan Miao-Dong Autonomous Prefecture,Guizhou Province as a case study carrying out a more overall research into urban ethnic relationsand probing into the main developmental trend from it,analysing the external and potential problems of city development.On the basis of it,some feasible suggestions can be put forward in order to have a better understanding of China's ethnic relation mainstream,promote urbanization development in ethnic areas and strengthen equality,unity and harmonious socialist ethnic relation.In general,this thesis is divided into four parts.“Preface” is part one,which mainly introduces the reason and significance of the topic,the definition of related concepts,and research methods.and it reviews relations theory and related research against the background of urbanization.The first chapter is the second part.First,it introduces the general situation of Kaili city;Secondly,it analyzes its urbanizational process.Finally,it summarizes the three types of ethnic groups in the city.The second chapter is the third part.It analyzes the current situation of Kaili's ethnic relations in detail,discusses the related factors in the process of urbanization and finally expounds the characteristics of Kaili's ethnic relations.The third chapter is the fourth part,discusseing the opportunities and challenges in the process of urbanization.The forth chapter is the fifth part,including a conclusion.It makes some suggestions for building harmonious ethnic relations in the current context.
