Collective memory is an important force and basis for collective identity,and a group of people living in the same place often use collective memory to maintain ethnic identity.However,there are two groups of people who identify with the Miao and the Tujia in the village of Baiwang village,Rongjiang county,Qiandongnan prefecture.Groups as from outside,they were surrounded by other groups,has formed a cultural island in fact,although a good maintaining and inheriting their own culture,but couldn't find his hometown.After the reform and opening up,they began their own journey of seeking roots.Under the influence of the foreign intellectual elite,they produced the Tujia identity.After a dozen years,they finally found their hometown.This paper attempts to explore the relationship between collective memory reconstruction and ethnic identity in the context of macro history.Firstly,this paper expounds the general situation of Baiwang village and the composition and viewpoints of the people who agree with different groups.Then from the villagers' original memory,that is,escaping from the ancestors,migration to leave home and settled in the memory of Rongjiang,combination of macro historical context,from the perspective of big history solve pendulum villagers home road,the reasons for the formation of the Baiwang village and the Baila village.Then there is the memory of the villagers' recognition of the Tujia,the journalist who made the Tujia inference and the memory of the later pines.The villagers' memory of the hunter-gatherers in Hunan,through the media interviews brought by the occasional acquaintance,produced an unsatisfactory activity.And then,with the help of the red Miao native land line and the reorganized fruit festival,the Miao identity theory once again gained the upper hand in the ethnic group.Finally,by using the theory of collective memory and the theory of ethnic identity,this paper analyzes the causes of the differences and the reasons for the settlement of disputes.
