Research On The Criminal Law Protection Of Citizen's Personal Information In The Internet

With the development of society and technology,it is imperative to modify the criminal law for the security of citizens' personal information on the Internet.We need to clarify the definition,the boundaries,and the protection classification of the personal information.In addition,it's also urgent to strengthen the regulation of illegal collection and use of citizens' personal information on the Internet.This paper systematically explains the connotation of citizens' personal information from three aspects: definition,characteristics,and specific scope.It also demonstrates the extension of its definition and the enormous economic value.By case study,it also deeply analyzes the current situation and behavior patterns of crime concerning with personal information.Then it sums up the main characteristics of such crimes: complications,high concealment,obvious profitability,and uncontrollable consequence.Then this paper sorts out the current status of criminal law in the field,and analyzes the problems,including the lack of an unified system,ambiguous regulations for illegal collection,and insufficiency of the regulations on the illegal use.Lastly,it puts forward a series of targeted proposals for the improvement in the legislative and judicial procedures and entities in order to achieve better protection of the citizens' personal information security.
