Research On The Adaptability Function Of The Communist Party Of China

Modernization is regarded as product of rapid development of human civilization since modern times and an irresistible wave sweeping across the world.Party Government representing distinctive symbol and main political force of modernization.A political party is regarded as the main force to promote the rapid development of modernization,which will inevitably result in changes or transformation in the external environment such as political system,social form,and value.As a political organization,it should adapt itself constantly to changes in the external environment to consolidate its status and gain power in the development,especially the ruling party.Since the birth of the Communist Party of China(CPC),adaptation has been carried out throughout the revolution,reform,and construction and should be valued as a kind of ruling party’ s basic experience in response to the environmental change & challenge.Taking the CPC as an analytical unit and the adaptability of the CPC as the research object,using the comparison-history-structure as the analytical framework,the paper conducts a multi-perspective and multi-dimensional study on the adaptability of the CPC,with the view to explain the reason why the CPC can sustain and maintain its strength is that it has adaptability in the changing environment.Besides,it holds the view that adaptation thinking should always be grasped both in the present and in the future.The article compares the Chinese and Western political parties and points out that the Chinese political party adapts to the "Chinese soil" environment;through historical analysis,it points out that in order to adapt to the changes in the ruling environment,the Communist Party of China has completed the role transition from the revolutionary party to the ruling party;through structural analysis,it points out that the Communist Party of China has adapted to the state-society structure amidst the context of reform and opening-up and the continuous deepening of the development of the market economy,On the basis of comparative analysis,historical analysis and structural analysis,the paper proposes a pathway for enhancing the adaptive function of the Communist Party of China in a new era.Firstly,maintain self-adaptability of the CPC through developing the inner-party democracy and promoting the people’s democracy;secondly,coordinate the relationship between the CPC and democratic parties through inter-party consultations;and thirdly,coordinate the relationship between the CPC and government through rational positioning,clarification of the boundary and system construction.Fourthly,strengthen political mobilization,expand political participation,and coordinate the relationship between the CPC and society.
