Formed as his criticism against the capitalism society,Max's view on state was a theory about the realization of human liberation based on historical materialism.Marx contended that the state should be separated from the society and it will return to society in the process of human liberation. To overthrow the bourgeois state and to establish the dictatorship of the proletariat is an effective way to realize the return of the state to the society. In his book “The Civil War in France”,the core issue discussed by Marx when he scientifically summarized the experiences of the Paris Commune was how to establish the state power of the dictatorship of the proletariat, that is,the political arrangement of the transition from capitalism to socialism. There are many controversial ideas about the problem in the theoretical community at present. The systematic study of Marx's view of state in “The Civil War in France” is relatively limited. This article therefore attempts to do some exploratory work on this.Based on the practice of proletarian revolution and the construction of proletariat dictatorship, this paper attempts to systematically discuss the development of Marx's national outlook in his book “The Civil War in France” from the perspective of Marxism's development history.First, this article reviews the development of Marx's view of state before the birth of “The Civil War in France” and interprets the transformation of Marx's national outlook in different historical periods. It also concludes that Marx established the civil society's role in deciding the state's position through the criticism against philosophy and political economy, and pointed out that the state was essentially a tool for class rule, and the state was bound to die out in its development. The ultimate ideal of Marx's criticism against the country lied in the realization of human liberation.Secondly, based on the study of the background and lessons learned from the revolution of Paris commune, this paper focuses on the analysis of the origin of Marx's discussion on the national problem and the main content of the national view in “The Civil War in France”.It also points out that the state power of the dictatorship of the proletariat is the transition to the Communist society that has caused the state's extinction. The nature of the state is transformed into a community with people as the main body, the function of the state is transformed from political rule to social management, the organizational principle of the state is proletarian democracy, and the “reconstruction of individual ownership” is its economic basis. Finally, this paper tries to demonstrate the theoretical position of the national view of The Civil War in France in the history of Marxism development. It briefly expounds its important guiding significance for the construction of socialist countries, especially its guidance significance for constructing socialist modernization and promoting the modernization of national governance in China.
