From the perspective of sociology and demography,human beings are or have entered an age of aging.With the coming of the aging of the population,the education of the aged is becoming more and more important in this era.It is a new trend for the development of education in the world to develop the education of the elderly in the community and try hard to implement the lifelong education.The trend of education for the elderly and lifelong education has set off a new trend.It advocates that everyone is educated and is educated at the time.The development of the education of the elderly not only plays a very important role in improving the system of lifelong education,but also has great significance for the elderly themselves.Since 1980 s,our country has launched the community education activities for the elderly.In 2017,the elderly community education in China has entered the development of thirty-second years,review the development course of 32 years,China's elderly community education has made remarkable achievements,but compared to the elderly education in developed countries there are still many shortcomings,but also lags behind the needs of the current development of aging the times."Elder Academy" is a public education cooperation in Huangpu district government and universities in Guangzhou to carry out,it is the street with third party social organizations buy service(including teachers,academic guidance,etc.)provide free education for the aged to elderly community,it is reality to meet the needs of the elderly education activities.This paper takes Huangpu District of Guangzhou City,Xiagang Street "Elder Academy" as an example,according to the lifelong learning theory,hierarchy of needs theory,using the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews,analysis of the status,community elderly education management problems and their reasons.The survey found that there are some problems in current education for the elderly,such as incomplete education policy,lack of legal guarantee,un smooth management system,biased understanding,insufficient investment,unstable teaching staff,and urgent need for internal management to upgrade.On the basis of the research,this paper further put forward policies and regulations,improving education management system,developing and spreading of elderly education concept,increasing investment,building a stable comprehensive teaching team and strengthening the cooperation of colleges and universities,innovating " Elder Academy " carrier such as promoting the development of the community elderly education strategy.Related research will not only provide direct support for the elderly education management in Huangpu Xiagang Street community,but also provide references for other community elderly education institutions in their scientific and standardized development.
