China was stepping into the aging society with the number of incompetent elderly people and empty nest elderly become larger.Family caring function is weaker than before due to the “421” family structure.Meanwhile,the system of elderly care service in China is imperfect.Therefore,China is facing the challenges of elderly caring.To improve elderly people's livelihood and deal with the problem of aging society,Chinese government has put forward a series of policies to promote the private capital into the elderly care service industry.The old-age industry is regarded as a sunrise industry in China and has become a hot spot for investment,as well as the high-end industries of elderly care service.Market sector as one of the subject of elderly care system is crucial to the forming of a perfect elderly care system which is concerned to the livelihood issues.Nowadays,Chinese elderly care service market is immature and is still in the early stage when many issues remained to be resolved.High-end market of elderly care service is a part of the whole industries.Therefore,research on the development of high-end elderly care service industry can promote the development of the whole elderly care service market.This paper describes the current situation of Chinese high-end elderly care service industry,including the investment subjects,investment model and distribution,features of products and services,profit model.Then it describes the problem of profit dilemma which is very common in Chinese high-end elderly care service industry.On this basis,this paper analyses the restricting factors such as high cost of investment and operation,lacking of support policy system,improper management idea and positioning and stagnant thought.Then it uses case study of famous high-end nursing facility in China and Japan.Last,there is a brief analysis of the development of high-end market spillover effects and make a conclusion that the government should improve the social security system for the elderly,give a support to form the industry chain and strengthen the development of personnel.On the other hand,company in the industry should identify its own position and build a goal-oriented marketing system.The company should build brand image as well.
