Exploring Factors Affected Unemployment Among Graduates In Thailand

Youth Unemployment is one of the most critical issues at global level.It represents the underutilization of scarce and precious resources,that would be important for nations' socio-economic development.This study deals with exploring factors affected unemployment among graduates in Thailand.It is based on the survey questionnaire and secondary data collected by World Bank site.From all the Thai graduates respondants and data are considered for analysis.Using descriptive,correlation and regression analysis,the study shows that unemployment among Thailand graduates is highly related with regional location and attitude towards working in microeconomics perspectives.In addition,from the consideration job factors found that the one who are unemployed tend to select job more than the one who are employed.On the other hand,the factors which affected the unemployment in macroeconomics perspective are total national unemployment rate,population growth rate,exchange rate,Labor force with advanced education,critical illness and poverty.Moreover,The study also shows the imbalance of demand and supply in labor market.Social study graduates are overflow in Thailand labor market recently,After implemented ‘Thailand 4.0 policy',the demand of skilled craftman and related to science worker were continuously increasing.In another words,vocational education student is shortage.But,institution still not to stop producing social study undergraduates which not match with labor market demand.Hence,the recomendation can be divided into four perspectives.First,graduates perspectives,the graduates supposed to adapt and develop the additional skills which labor market needed such as foreign language,computer,science technology which can increse the competitive advantage of students among Thailand labor market demand.Second,financials perspective,fianancials support supposed to provide scorlarship which related to labor market demand such as computer,science and digital marketing.Third,government and information technology perspective,joining with private sector could increse the accessibility of job hunting for graduates,make a job seekers easy to meet a employer.Forth,institutions perspective,upgrading the education system and follow up the demand of Thailand labor market.
