Basing on the data of CFPS 2016,this research is aimed to analyze the effects of parental migration on their children.Parenting has become an important factor that affecting the short-and long-term physical health of left-behind children.According to the research:those children whose parents are engaged in local farming are more likely to be sick and malnourished. In addition to this, region, gender and age are three important factors contributing to the heterogeneity of child's health. Some empirical models are employed to further analyze the effects of parental migration on child's health. The empirical results showed that:the probability suffered by sickness of these ' father-migration' left-behind children was about 1.3 times than the control group(OR=1.3035).From the influencing factors of children's long-term physical health status, this paper finds that only-mothers-migration has a very significant adverse effect on children's long-term physical health(?=-0.4750),which means that the impact of the mother's going out on the child's long-term health status is decisive. And "parents are going out" have a significant positive effect on children's long-term physical health(?=0.3392),which is induced by family income increase and intergenerational care. And water for eating, household income and residence of children have significant effects, both on short-and long-term physical health. The results of heterogeneity research showed that the short-and long-term physical health of left-behind children are significantly different among age of children and regional segmentation. The above results show that family socioeconomic factors are important factors affecting children's short-term physical health. The above empirical results were tested for robustness and endogeneity. After using the transform estimation method and increasing the control variables, the conclusions are still valid. This paper provides evidence for the implementation of differentiated rural left-behind children's health promotion policy.
