At present,China is in a critical period of social change,and it is also in a period of prominent social contradictions.In order to build a harmonious and shared stable society,how to resolve and prevent various contradictions and disputes,reduce social risks,and promote risk management has become a social issue to be explored.The country and the market cannot fully meet the growing needs of the society for preventing conflicts and disputes,so guiding social forces to participate in the resolution of contradictions and disputes has become an inevitable trend under the call of social governance innovation system and socialization of social governance.In recent years,under the mobilization of the government,P District of Shanghai actively encourages and promotes the participation of various social organizations in the resolution of contradictions and disputes,so a large number of mediation-type social organizations can be produced and developed.The participation of social organizations in the resolution of social contradictions and disputes has important theoretical and practical significance in the field of innovative social risk management.This paper takes the two mediation social organizations in P District of Shanghai as an example,takes the embeddedness theory as the research perspective and uses the qualitative research method to systematically study the participation mechanism of social organizations in the resolution of contradictions and disputes.This paper focuses on the necessity of two mediation social organizations to participate in the resolution of contradictory disputes,the reasons and processes of legal identity,the characteristics of staff identity,the basic situation and the source of working capital,service content,operational characteristics,etc.The to explore similarities and differences between the working methods of social organizations,and then discover and summarize the logic behind the participation of social organizations in the resolution of contradictions and disputes.The study found that:Firstly,there are two types of participation mechanisms of social organizations in the resolution of contradictions and disputes,which are the result of various factors.Secondly,the participation of social organizations in the resolution of contradictions and disputes is an embedded governance logic.Through institutional embedding,structural embedding and functional embedding,mediation social organizations are deeply attached to the government to achieve basic operations and development,while the government deeply integrates mediation social organizations into their own governance systems.Finally,there are unequal embedding relationships in the process of social organizations participating in the resolution of contradictions and disputes.Social organizations have a one-way dependence on the government,and the government has achieved one-way control of social organizations.The government and social organizations are an unequal cooperative relationship.In addition,the author believes that there is inherent affinity between social work and conflict resolution work,and the use of social work concepts and methods can promote the professional development of conflict resolution work.
