In today's world,regional conflicts continue.After many major economic adjustments,countries begin to strengthen the reform of political system to promote economic development.Countries that have not yet completed their political transformation actively seek effective paths.As one of the Southeast Asian countries.Cambodia has undergone many regime changes since its independence.With the help of the United Nations,Cambodia held general elections in 1993,established a constitutional monarchy and embarked on the road of democratic and peaceful development.Compared with other countries,the change of Cambodian political system has both common characteristics and special characteristics.Based on the analysis of Cambodian regime change,this study can theoretically enrich the literature achievements of Southeast Asian studies,especially the study of Southeast Asian regime change,and verify the theory of national regime change,and at the same time provide reference for the political transformation of all countries in the world.Based on the analysis method of combining theory with practice,starting from literature analysis,by means of comparison,analysis and statistics,this paper distinguishes the differences of research results in detail,and then analyses the literature and research reports of Cambodia's political party construction and institutional change.On the basis of analyzing the political and economic background at home and abroad,this paper combines the latest institutional theory to analyze the influence of Cambodian system.This paper combs the important events of the change of political system in Cambodia in order to analyze and point out the characteristics and paths followed in the process of the change of political system in Cambodia,and to comment on the political system in Cambodia.Through analysis,this paper holds that the change of Cambodian political system has four characteristics:imitation,gradualness,flexibility and passivity,and its path of change has the characteristics of induced change,radical change and gradual change.The change of Cambodian political system,in the final analysis,is the need of national independence,national interests,the need of competing forces of various countries,and the rule of political powerful people.After many political changes,Cambodia has established a democratic system in line with its national conditions,formed a positive and stable environment for development,and made certain breakthroughs in all areas of society,finally bringing Cambodia opportunities for peaceful development.The author has limited research capacity and failed to discuss the causes and paths of institutional change in Cambodia from the cultural,economic and international perspectives,hoping to make up for them in future research.
