General Secretary Xi Jinping has always had a deep feeling for the people. He has published a series of new expositions around the word "people",inherited and developed Mao Zedong's people view, and opened up a new realm of Marxist historical materialism.Today, after 40 years of reform and opening up,the country has undergone tremendous changes in all aspects of society.Economic development has taken the fast lane, but social development is not balanced, and some people have not got rid of poverty.Xi Jinping was very concerned about the people in need and tried his best to improve people's lives. In this context,Xi Jinping put forward a series of new ideas around the "people",which will help to solve the problems of the interests of the domestic people and enable the people to truly share the development results. Both Mao Zedong's People's View and Xi Jinping's People's View are the results of the Sinicization of Marxism. Both of them embody the concept of Marxist historical materialism and the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly by the Communist Party of China.Xi Jinping's People's View and Mao Zedong's People's View have their own brand of the times.Xi Jinping's People's View inherits the thought of Mao Zedong's People's View, both of which are in one continuous line.At the same time,Xi Jinping's People's View has also developed Mao Zedong's People's View, which embodies the theoretical quality of keeping pace with the times. This paper mainly studies the main contents of Mao Zedong's People's View and Xi Jinping's People's View by using the methods of literature research, comparative research and integrating theory with practice, and probes into the inheritance and development of Xi Jinping's People's View to Mao Zedong's People's View. This is conducive to deepening the understanding of Marxist people's outlook, strengthening the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party and the people, helping the Party to better lead the people to seek common development, share development results and realize the new development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This article mainly divides into six chapters to discuss the inheritance and development of Xi Jinping's people view to Mao Zedong's people view. The first chapter introduces the background, significance, research status at home and abroad, research methods, innovation and definition of related concepts. The second chapter is mainly about the theoretical origin and practical basis of Xi Jinping's people's view. The theoretical origins of Xi Jinping's people's outlook include Marxist classics,Chinese excellent traditional culture and the people's outlook of successive Party leaders. The practical basis of Xi Jinping's people's outlook includes the experience of educated youth, the experience of administration and the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The third chapter summarizes the content of Xi Jinping's people's view, which mainly includes the following four aspects: advocating people-centered value orientation;highlighting the people's principal position;strengthening the practice path of people's interests;and improving the people's interests protection mechanism.Chapter IV summarizes the contents of Mao Zedong's people's outlook on all aspects of serving the people, relying on the people and promoting people's democracy. The fifth chapter mainly discusses the inheritance of Xi Jinping's people's view to Mao Zedong's people's view, and the consistency of the two.Chapter Six discusses the development of Xi Jinping's people view on Mao Zedong's people view from the aspects of people's interests, people's role and people's development, which highlights the quality of the people view advancing with the times.
