A Study Of The Transformations Of Shen Junru's Political Thought

Shen Junru is a great patriot,Democrat and Communist in modern China.His life spanned three historical periods: the late Qing Dynasty,the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China.All his life,he worked tirelessly for the salvation and survival of the Chinese nation,and for the prosperity and strength of democracy.From resolutely abandoning the feudal career and advocating the constitutional monarchy to accepting the Three People's Principles,and finally approaching the Communist Party and believing in Marxist thought,Shen Junru has undergone three major changes in his political thought.This process is the epitome of Chinese intellectuals' exploration of the road to national salvation since the Reform Movement in the late Qing Dynasty.This paper attempts to sort out Shen Junru's three political ideological changes in his life in a holistic way,to explore the causes and main ideas of his political ideological changes in each period,and to further analyze and reveal the characteristics and influence of his political ideological changes.This paper mainly uses the research methods of literature research and interdisciplinary research,crosses politics and history,and combines historical materials with Shen Junru's related original documents,books and periodical papers to write.The first part introduces Shen Junru's early experience,analyses the reasons for his advocacy of constitutional monarchy from three aspects: enlightenment,studying in Japan and family education,and elaborates Shen Junru's political thoughts of constitutional monarchy in this period from two aspects: the gist of constitutionalism and the fundamentals of constitutionalism.The second part introduces Shen Junru's ideological transformation process of abandoning the monarchy constitutionalism and advocating democratic republic,which was promoted by three factors: the failure of constitutional movement,the arrival of revolutionary climax and his own excellent qualities.Shen Junru advocates the thought of governing by the people in the United Provinces and rule of law,hoping to establish an American-style federalism bourgeois republic in China.The third part is to sort out the process of Shen Junru's third political ideological transformation,which is close to the Communist Party and eventually become a great Communist party.It is divided into three stages: Ideological Closening to the Communist Party during the War of Resistance Against Japan,the "one-sided" reversal to New Democracy during the War of Liberation and the two applications to join the Communist Party of China after the founding of New China.The fourth part,on the basis of combing the whole process of political ideological transformation in the first three parts,reveals the general characteristics and influence of Shen Junru's political ideological transformation,including always taking saving the nation and people as the sole purpose,always keeping in line with the revolutionary trend and always accompanying rich practical activities,including the influence on Shen Junru himself and China's democratic alliance.And its influence on the construction of New China.The last part is a summary of this article.This part combines the author's understanding to discuss the realistic value of this study.Shen Junru's high patriotism,selfless and fearless struggle spirit and unswerving pursuit of democracy and rule of law reflected in his three political ideological changes in his life are worth learning from each of us.
