| Japan was the first capitalist country in Asia. After World War Ⅱ,under the supervision and support of the United States,Japan basically completed the democratization, and Western representative democracy was rooted.Despite the baptism of American-style democratization after World War Ⅱ,the phenomenon of "hereditary politics" with feudal color still prevails in Japanese politics. The existence of Japan’s "hereditary politics" is supported by its historical and cultural roots, and has a profound impact on Japan’s political, economic, cultural and social development.Judging from the framework of modern political science,Japan’s "hereditary politics" clearly deviates from the inherent development logic of democratic politics. With the development of democratic politics,"hereditary politics" has encountered many challenges, and its negative effects have become more apparent. At present, various circles in Japan have different judgments on "hereditary politics" and have produced fierce debates. This paper tries to take the Japanese hereditary parliamentarians as the starting point to examine the status quo of Japan’s "hereditary politics",analyze its causes and social influences in depth, and predict the future direction of Japan’s "hereditary politics’’.This article analyzes Japan’s "hereditary politics" from three aspects.First of all,it summarizes the current situation of "hereditary politics" in Japan.Contemporary "hereditary politics" in Japan is mainly manifested in the heredity of successive prime ministers and cabinets, the heredity of parliamentarians and local parliamentarians, and the heredity of many members of political parties.First, from a political point of view,Japan’s "hereditary politics" existed in ancient society, and then the Meiji Restoration established the hereditary system of its members of the House of Lords through the Constitution, which further stabilized the status of hereditary members in the political arena.Although the democratization of the United States after World War Ⅱ caused a certain degree of impact on Japan’s "hereditary politics’ it failed to fundamentally change the nature of Japan’s"hereditary politics",so the "hereditary politics" of contemporary Japan was finally formed under such a special background as the 1960s.Secondly,from the economic point of view, after the Meiji Restoration.Japanese plutocrats gradually formed and began to interfere in politics. The strong economic strength of Japanese plutocrats is the long-standing economic pillar of Japan’s "hereditary politics".Thirdly, from the perspective of social culture,Japan’s"family" culture and the common role of consanguinity and geography are the social and cultural basis of Japan’s "hereditary politics".Finally,it analyzes the influence of hereditary politics on Japanese society. On the surface,Japan’s "hereditary parliamentarians" are democratically elected and have their legitimacy. They are also recognized by some voters, but at the same time, many people believe that "hereditary politics" is not conducive to the development of Japanese democracy. With the continuous development of democratic politics, the supporting soil of"hereditary politics" in Japan has also undergone significant changes.Financial support for"hereditary politics" has changed from an open and direct way to an implicit and circuitous way.Japanese people’s understanding of democratic elections has also been constantly improved. At the same time, the restrictive measures of the political system on "hereditary politics" have not achieved remarkable results. The financial circles are still secretly supporting "hereditary parliamentarians".Traditional culture still has a great influence on people’s election ideas. Therefore,Japan’s "hereditary politics" will continue to exist for quite a long time and maintain a dynamic balance. |
