Research On Information Dissemination Characteristics And The Public's Use Intention Of Government Microblogs In Emergencies

In recent years,various emergencies have occurred frequently.Because of the suddenness and destructive characteristics of emergencies,it will arouse widespread attention in the whole society.And this brings great challenges for the government emergency management.The rapid development of new media such as microblog has strongly influenced the current information dissemination environment.It is of great practical value to study how the government can spread information through emergencies by microblog.Government microblogs provides a new channel and mode of information dissemination for the government,which greatly enhances the timeliness and interactivity of information dissemination.Today,government microblogs have become an important platform of disclosing news,guiding Internet opinions and interacting with citizens for government departments.The significance of developing e-government is to improve the efficiency and quality of public services.The value of government microblogs is represented by their usage by more and more people.Therefore,it is useful to summarize the characteristics of government microblogs and construct a public usage adoption model of government microblogging services.It is of great significance to research the factors affecting the willingness and intention of the public to use government microblogs.This dissertation takes “8.12 Tianjin Port explosion ” as the research case,takes “Tianjin Announcement”,“ Binhai Announcement”,“Tianjin Environmental Protection Announcement” and other government microblogging accounts as the research objectives,and collects government microblogging data during the accident.The timeliness,the setting of topics,the pattern of expression and the information spreading of the government microblogs are analyzed.Based on the UTAUT model,perceived trust,perceived mobility,compatibility,service quality,and social evaluation,are introduced to establish a modified model.The empirical research method is used to study the influential factors of public usage intention of government microblogs.Analyzing the influencing factors of public intention to use government microblogs,the characteristics of public usage willingness to use government microblogs.And some suggestions are put forward to improve the operation and promotion of government microblogs.Firstly,this dissertation explains the research background and significance of the topic,review the domestic and international literature of government microblogs in detail,and draws up the research ideas and basic framework of this dissertation.In the second part,the related concepts of emergency and government microblogs are defined,and the theories of Trust and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology are introduced.In the third part,this dissertation takes “8.12 Tianjin Port explosion ” as the research case and make an analysis.From the perspective of timeliness,dissemination content,and information spreading,the characteristics are analyzed.In the fourth part,based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model,the public usage adoption model of government microblogs are proposed,and data were collected by questionnaire.And the model is tested using SPSS and AMOS.It is found that' except the compatibility variable,all other variables are positively correlated with the intention to use the government microblogs during emergent events.Finally,the concluding part puts forward some suggestions on the operation and construction of government microblogs from the individual level,the technical level and the social level.This dissertation ends with a positive outlook.The main contributions of this dissertation are the following:(1)This dissertation takes “8.12 Tianjin Port explosion” as the research case and takes “Tianjin Announcement”,“Binhai Announcement”,“Tianjin Environmental Protection Announcement” and other government microblogging accounts as the research objectives.Government microblogging data were collected by analyzing the time,content and spreading patterns of the microblog content,the information dissemination characteristics are analyzed.This dissertation summarizes up some important characteristics of government microblogs and presents the role of government microblogs in emergency management intuitively.(2)Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model,this dissertation constructs the public usage intention model of government microblogs.By using empirical research method,the influential factors of public usage intention of government microblogs are analyzed.(3)This dissertation obtains some conclusions via empirical analysis,and puts forward some suggestions to the government microblogs in order to improve the operation level and public usage rate.
