Research On The American Electoral College System

The U.S.presidential election is the most complicated presidential election procedure and system in the world.The U.S.presidential election with the electoral college as the core has been running for hundreds of years in the actual political life of the United States despite the controversy.This article takes the democratic analysis of the US presidential election system as the core of thinking,and takes the emergence of American-style democracy and the evolution of the electoral system as the historical background.Based on the real-time data of the 2016 US presidential election,this paper explores the concept of American democracy politics and electoral performance behind the system architecture,and the imbalance between institutions and reality embodied in social feedback under the deep logic of the system.The full text conforms to a logical line,that is,under the influence of the democratic background,the thesis first sorts out what kinds of electoral system and democratic goals the United States has set up,then analyzes the realistic feedback of the 2016 presidential election through micro level to explore the logic of the institutional framework behind it,in the end,I got a conclusion from a relatively macro perspective by extracting the connection,difference and its causes between the system and the reality.Through the comparison between target and reality,while drawing conclusions about the derailment of American democratic electoral system and real democracy from different dimensions,I hope to deepen our understanding of democracy in theory and form a bridge of beneficial dialogue with the study of American democracy at the institutional design and cultural level,so as to have a more comprehensive understanding of the political ecology of the United States and also provide a thinking perspective for other studies on democracy,freedom and equal political forms.
