The study focuses on the failure of the Minsk Agreements, specifically the role of different interpretations of these agreements and parties that are involved and their intensives. The final part covers the suggestions of a suitable international involvement in order to set the peace process in motion. The focal point is to find out a realistic scenario that will bring peace to Ukraine and end the long-lasting war on the east of Ukraine. In order to understand better the case,I have implemented conflict management theory, and spoilers' theory that focuses on the peace process.Spoilers' problem in the peace process will be used as additional explanation for the failure of the Minsk ? agreement alongside the theory of realism.New conflict management framework will help to examine the main reasons of the failure and uncover hidden intensives of the parties involved. This thesis gives a helpful insight for students, policymakers, and academicians in the fields related to Eastern Europe, mainly Ukraine,as well as Russia's influence on this region.
