As an important part of national defense education in colleges and universities,the course quality and effect of military theory directly affect the overall effect of national defense education in colleges and universities.Curriculum evaluation is an important means to evaluate and guarantee curriculum quality.Course evaluation can not only summarize and evaluate the quality and effect of courses,but also provide reference for further improvement and improvement of courses,and ultimately promote the overall development of courses,teachers and students.However,it is a pity that there is still no unified,standardized,specific and targeted evaluation program for military theory course under the background of the uneven opening of military theory course in colleges and universities.In view of this,it is necessary to carry out the study on the evaluation of military theory course and construct the evaluation index system of military theory course with practical significance,so as to provide a reference scheme for universities to summarize the current situation of courses and evaluate the quality of courses.Related laws and regulations on national defense education for the policy basis,according to the theory of education internalization and developmental curriculum evaluation theory as the theoretical basis,with military objective for direct basis of colleges and universities,military theory course evaluation should adhere to objective to evaluate the starting point,with national defense education into evaluation,development to evaluate the ultimate goal,the curriculum quality evaluation of the core of the four aspects of the guiding ideology;And to realize the diversification of the evaluation subject,the education and teaching management department,students and teachers should be included in the curriculum evaluation.It is necessary to adhere to the evaluation principle of high combination of self-evaluation and other-evaluation,the unity of process and result evaluation,the combination of quantitative and qualitative evaluation and the value orientation of student-oriented evaluation.Under the guidance of this evaluation idea,this paper further explores the natural pursuit of military theory curriculum evaluation from three parts:curriculum construction,curriculum implementation and curriculum effect evaluation,so as to build a theoretical model of evaluation index system.However,there may still be a certain degree of gap between the actual state of the course evaluation of military theory and the supposed pursuit.Combined with case study and in-depth interview,the author found that the three case schools of different types all have common problems,such as low emphasis on curriculum,difficulty in recruiting military theory teachers and limited development of national defense education practice platform,and some differences in the organizational form and assessment method of military theory teaching.On this basis,after further research on the current situation of military theory curriculum evaluation and opinion questionnaire survey,it is found that the sample schools generally have prominent problems in curriculum positioning,teacher team construction,teaching organization form and assessment method,reflecting the gap between"reality"and”should be"in the evaluation of military theory curriculum.However,tracing back to the source,this gap is actually rooted in the development of national defense education in colleges and universities.The key problem is that the education management department attaches great importance to national defense education in colleges and universities.In a word,the construction of the evaluation index system of military theory curriculum is essentially a process derived from reality and pursued as it should be.Restricted by the realistic basis of evaluation,the course evaluation of military theory should strive to achieve a balance between ideal and reality,and establish an evaluation index system with practical significance.In view of this,the author further optimizes the evaluation scheme from the realization of classified evaluation,index classification.addition of qualification standard and refinement of evaluation standard,and finally constructs the evaluation index system of military theory course with certain practical value.In addition,the course evaluation research process is also a process of discovering problems.After reviewing the whole research process,the author reflects and sumnmarizes the problems related to the course evaluation of military theory,and tries to put forward corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions.
