Myanmar is a key node in China's neighboring diplomacy and an important country for China's "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative.Myanmar's current extreme nationalism is on the rise and China's project investment in Myanmar is being challenged,China's contacts with Myanmar cannot avoid the ethnic issues in Myanmar. The dynastic wars, external invasions in the history of Myanmar have a certain impact on the inter-ethnic relations, but to a greater extent, the current ethnic issues are caused by the internal isolation caused by the modern colonial rule. There are tendencies of Myanmar chauvinism, national separatism and religious nationalism between the Bamar and the minority ethnic groups.External intervention and the great power game also play a significant role on these issues. At present, the two biggest issues in Myanmar, local ethnic armed forces and the issue of Rohingya in Cairo, which both have spread from the inter-ethnic issue to the complex ethnic issues involving various above-mentioned elements, which have had a significant impact on the national construction and democratization of Myanmar.Through the analysis of previous literature and news reports can find that most of these are emphasized on the the attitude of Myanmar government, the military and the leaders of local ethnic armed forces. All these literature rarely refer to Burmese attitudes and perceptions of the country's ethnic problems. This paper uses the data from "Myanmar Social Research(2018)',and uses Stata 13 software to carry out the quantitative analysis. The results of the study show that the polarization attitude of the Burmese people towards the ethnic issues. The Bamar agree with the government and the military approach, while the ethnic minorities hold opposing views. However, from the perspective of education level, although the educated groups do not agree with the ethnic minorities' approach, they are also opposed to the military's.The acceptance of the Rohingya by ethnic groups is higher than that of the Bamar, and the Rakhine people do not accept the Rohingya at all.As for the intervention of external forces, the Burmese basically hope that other countries and organizations, mainly including United Nations, the United States and ASEAN,can help the government to solve the ethnic problems in Myanmar.Although some Burmese attitude towards China is close, there are still more objections. But in terms of education, educated people are very opposed to outside intervention. As for the current ethnic policy, the attitudes are also polarized. In the eyes of the public, the 21st century panglong conference has not achieved the desired results, which is basically consistent with the attitude of the outside world. Finally, according to the attitude of the Burmese people, this paper suggests that China should give all-around consideration to the ethnic issues and seize the opportunities.
