Research On Social Work Intervention In The Negative Emotions Of The Elderly Migrants

The rapid development of China's economy and the transformation of its economic structure have promoted the flow of social resources,especially talents.A large number of young people enter the metropolis because of work or study,which brings not only the mobility of young labor force,but also the elderly who want to take care of their children and lighten the burden of their children.Especially after the full liberalization of the second child,more elderly people have no hesitation to choose to leave home and take the initiative to take care of second child.The old people who move with them are not only the floating population group,but also the old people group.Under the dual status,they not only have to face the degradation of their physiological functions in old age and the adaptation of new environment,but also suffer from leaving home.They are the disadvantaged groups in the prosperous cities,which should be paid attention to by the society.When the elderly migrate to other places,the first thing they face is not only the change of external environment,but also the change of mentality and mood.In order to investigate the emotional problems of the elderly in S community,this paper conducted an unstructured interview with 20 elderly people in S community,and found out the negative emotional status of the elderly in S community from two aspects of physiology and psychology;summarized the sources of the negative emotions of the elderly in S community from three aspects of social interaction,cultural adaptation and family integration;and finally analyzed the sources of solving the negative emotions of the elderly in S community.Negative emotional problems need to start with improving the status of interpersonal communication and cultural acceptance of the elderly,guiding the elderly to learn effective ways to alleviate negative emotions,and enhancing their ability to control and manage emotions.Therefore,the author has carried out some practical work in view of the negative emotional problems of the elderly migrants,aiming at exploring the application of social work in the emotional problems of the elderly migrants.According to the logic of the generation and development of negative emotions,five sections of group activities were designed to help the elderly to alleviate and manage negative emotions effectively from the aspects of improving their ability to control and manage emotions,mastering interpersonal skills,understanding and accepting local culture,and eventually to better integrate into the new life and have a high-quality life in their old age.Then it introduces the intervention process of case social work on the negative emotions of the elderly aunt YC,which is mainly based on rational emotional therapy and assisted by social support network theory to improve the negative emotions of the case owners,to help the case owners alleviate their negative emotions and reduce their psychological burden.Finally,through the reflection and summary of group and case activities,the author explores the experience of social work intervention in the negative emotions of the elderly migrants,and provides new ideas and strategies for solving such problems in future social work.
