Organization Embedded:State Building And Social Integration During Early Days Of New China In Chengdu City

Revolution is an important viewpoint for us to understand modern politics.While the revolution success,a new state begins its own beginning moment.This moment,a time involving liberation and constitution,is also an important base-point for us to understand a new country's political development.In 1949,the Chinese Communist Party,following Marxism revolutionary spirit and its new democracy state-building program,open the new page for China,a country having been endured a century long time's war-torn and people miserable life.At this moment,the Party's priority of work has turn from villages to cities;Chengdu,a western-south city in China and an important dwell for Kuomintang government's death struggle,was a serious challenge for the Party to take over and transform because of its complex political-economical conditions.It has typical significance to research its practice of history.We have found,through the research on the practice of history of rebuilding of political order of society when happened:in the early days of new China,organizational embeddedness is not only a major way to meet the challenge to take over the city,but also a basic formulation to build local government and to integrate local society.After military take-over,the Party,on the one hand,expanded and penetrate its organization everywhere,thus enabling the government and Party's power to reach grass-roots level in structure;on the other hand,together with a wide range of political mobilization and mass movement,remolded the city through organizational social integration,thus transform the city in function.With a powerful political momentum originated from its military success,the Party embedded the city relative smoothly and then started its state-building and social-integration process.This,is the key-point for people to observe new China's state-building practice in its early days as well as contemporary China's political model.
