The abstinence rate of drug addicts in the compulsory rehabilitation center or drug rehabilitation hospital is close to 100%,but the relapse rate after they leave the hospital is as high as over 90%.That is to say, even if the drug addicts are cured through mandatory isolation or drug rehabilitation hospital, more than 90%of drug addicts will still choose to relapse after they come out. Many studies have shown that the failure to obtain effective social support and identity, the failure to meet the most basic safety needs and belonging needs is one of the main reasons for the high relapse rate, and the lack of social support is the most common problem for drug addicts. If problems in social support cannot be handled and solved timely and properly, addicts will choose to take drugs again to escape from the reality, relieve their troubles and relieve their emptiness when they have no way to independently solve their difficulties or to deal with their bad emotions without being helped. This study investigated the social support status of drug addicts through questionnaire survey and in-depth interview.First, through statistical analysis of questionnaire data, the relationship between social support level and relapse was explored, and the social support situation of moral maintenance personnel and relapse was compared,so as to analyze the differences between moral maintenance personnel and relapse personnel in social support.Secondly, through in-depth interviews with drug addicts and social workers in drug rehabilitation institutions, social support factors affecting relapse were understood and analyzed. The results showed that(1)there was a significant negative correlation between relapse and social support, the number of relapse was also significantly negative correlation with social support level, and relapse was significantly negative correlation with family support level.(2)the social support level of drug addicts at all levels has a significant positive correlation with the overall level of social support, among which the subjective support,i.e.the individual's perception of support,is the most correlated with the overall level of social support.(3)social support factors that affect relapse mainly include family support, employment support, friend support, formal social support, and public perception and cognition. All of these factors influence whether addicts relapse or not in some way. Finally, based on the research results, this paper proposes countermeasures and Suggestions for the intervention of social work in the prevention of relapse from the perspective of social support, and provides referential directions, methods or strategies for the work of social workers in the field of community drug rehabilitation,so as to help the addicts reduce the risk of relapse and better integrate into social life.
