With the popularity of the Internet and the rapid rise of the media, the dissemination of information has broken the barriers of time and space, and any event may trigger a crisis of network public opinion.Because of the sensitivity and topicality of the public security organs' own profession,it is easy to become the focus of network topics, resulting in the frequent occurrence of police-related network public opinion in recent years, which has brought great resistance to public security work. However, the reality is not optimistic. The problems in the construction of the public security organs' own ranks and the lack of skills and strategies to deal with public opinion are often pushed to the forefront of public opinion by the inappropriate ways and means of dealing with the media and the masses. Therefore, the management of network public opinion has become an important part of public security work. How to deal with and deal with the crisis caused by network public opinion has also become a key problem faced by public security organs. How to turn passive into active and turn "crisis" into "opportunity" in the management of network public opinion by public security organs is an in-depth development at this stage and even for a long time to come.Important topics.Based on the theory of public crisis management, crisis management cycle theory and 4R crisis management model, this paper analyses the reasons, impacts and lack of governance of police-related network public opinion, and demonstrates through typical cases to explore the establishment of appropriate public opinion reduction, monitoring, early warning and response system.
