Research On Indonesian Indo-Pacific Diplomacy From Perspective Of National Identity

From 2017,Indo Concept is gradually beginning the fashionable discourse in the international relation,and Indo Strategy also becomes the focal object in these states,including the U.S.,Japan,India and Australia.Indonesia,located in the central position,takes advantages his geopolitical position,actively responses to Indo by expounding the understanding of Indo and taking relevant practices.This paper trys to interpret Indonesian"Indo-Pacific" diplomacy in the framework of theoretical analysis of "national identity".The first part briefly reviews the development of Indonesian triple national identities,and outlines the multiple national interest derived from these triple identities.In the influence of the national identities and interests,Indonesia practices its various diplomat actions,which systemically forms Indonesian Indo diplomacy.In the second part,it pays more attention to discussing the concrete practice in the direct of three national identities,and focuses on the practice and interactions with traditional Asia-Pacific states,Indian Ocean states,African states and the multilateral mechanisms in Indo-Pacific region.In the three part,based on the discussion of Indonesian Indo-Pacific diplomacy practice,this part emphasizes on summarizing the specific characteristics of Indonesian Indo-Pacific diplomacy,including the extension of diplomatic scope from Asia-Pacific to Indo-Pacific,enrichment of diplomatic contents from economic cooperation to comprehensive development of security governance,the transform of the diplomatic mode of relaying on the framework of multilateral mechanisms to achieve regional dynamic equilibrium,the innovation of diplomatic behavior of actively developing maritime diplomacy and the continuation of diplomatic ideas of independence and activeness.In the last part,this paper give a concise analysis of the challenges and the specific objectives pursued by Indonesia Indo-Pacific diplomacy.In general,it looks forward to the future of Indonesian Indo-Pacific diplomacy.
