In recent years,mobile Internet has developed rapidly,and mobile phones have become the first choice for Internet access.The number of mobile Internet users nationwide is close to 800 million.With the increasing penetration of mobile phone to daily work,learning and life,the phenomenon of mobile phone dependence has become a new problem in the research of media dependence.n the small town youth group,due to the influence of media resources status,overall living environment and consumption fashion,its mobile phone ownership and usage rate are very large,so its dependence is worthy of further observation.Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,302 young people in Wangmudu Town,Ganxian County,Jiangxi Province,were selected as subjects to explore the relationship between mobile phone use,especially loneliness and mobile phone dependence among young people in small towns.The survey found that:(1)the overall youth in small towns showed moderate dependence on mobile phones;(2)there was a significant positive correlation between loneliness and mobile phone dependence among young people in small towns(r = 0.419**,P < 0.01);(3)demographic characteristics had no significant impact on mobile phone dependence among young people in small towns;(4)the overall loneliness status of young people in small towns was moderate loneliness.Therefore,reducing the mobile phone dependence of young people in small towns can be considered to reduce loneliness.
