Study On The US-Taiwan Interaction Under US "Indo—pacific" Strategy And The Countermeasures Of Chinese Mainland

In November 2017,when President Trump Donald made his first visit to Asia,he formally proposed the concept of the free and open "Indo-Pacific" region and the "Indo-Pacific" strategy.,The 2018 National Security Strategy Report issued at the end of the same year,and the subsequent National Defences Strategy of The United States of America and Asia Reassurance Initiative Act of 2018 formally validated and provided guidance and specific support to this strategy.The rise of China is an important consideration for the United States to propose the "Indo-Pacific" strategy,and the Taiwan question,as the core interest of China,has always been an important strategic "chip" for the United States to contain Chinese Mainland.In order to cooperate with the US "Indo-Pacific" strategic to confront and contain the Chinese Mainland,the DPP(Democratic Progressive Party)authorities in the Taiwan region have adopted an increasingly radical "Taiwan independence" policy,which not only does not recognize the "1992 consensus".but actively caters to and responds to the Trump administration undefined promotion of the escalation of US-Taiwan interactive relations and constantly challenges the One-China principle,which constitutes a new obstacle to cross-strait stability and peaceful reunification.This paper takes the US-Taiwan interaction under US "Indo-Pacific" Strategy and the countermeasures of Chinese Mainland as the research object.The first part introduces the background significance of the topic,the research status and methods at home and abroad,as well as the innovation of the article;The second part introduces the background and main connotation of the formation of “Indo-Pacific”strategy in the United States.“Indo-Pacific” has risen from geographical concept to national strategy is mainly based on the rapid rise of the "Indo-Pacific" region,especially China,the ineffective results of the Obama administration undefined“Asia-Pacific Rebalancing ”strategy,and the political efforts of the United States in the "Indo-Pacific" region.Military and economic strategic readjustment and rearrangement;The third part introduces the interaction between the governing authorities of the US and Taiwan based on their respective strategic interests under the "Indo-Pacific" strategy to promote "quasi-official relations" and develop the "paramilitary alliance" Consolidating of values alliance and expanding of Taiwan's so-called "international space",as well as the resulting "Taiwan independence" forces,have become even more wanton,and the weakening of the Chinese Mainland's military superiority to Taiwan.The further internationalization of the Taiwan question and the negative impact on China undefined peaceful settlement of the Taiwan question may lead to simultaneous reactions in the surrounding situation.The fourth part is based on the above analysis put forward four aspects of countermeasures and suggestions: First,it is necessary to always maintain strategic determination and develop major country diplomacy;second,it is necessary to stabilize the overall situation of Sino-US relations in order to influence US intervention in the Taiwan Strait;and third,it is necessary to consolidate the basis of public opinion on both sides of the strait to promote the development of cross-strait relations.Fourth,it is necessary to develop and strengthen the construction of the national defense army and make good preparations for military struggle;finally,the paper draws a conclusion that in the face of the strong attack of "Indo-Pacific" strategy and "Taiwan card",China should maintain its determination and recognize the great trend of historical development.Although there will still be numerous risks and challenges,China's rising and reviving is an irreversible historical trend,and any external strategic checks and balances will be unstoppable.Based on this historical trend,and the growing integration of cross-strait blood transmission and development with the same root as the same origin,and the increasingly close ties between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,the Taiwan question will eventually be resolved.The journey of reunification between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits will continue to advance with the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
