Research On The Path Of Politicization Of Social Emotions

In the past 40 years after reform and opening,the development of China has attracted worldwide attention,but in the course of development,various social contradictions have become increasingly acute,and social incidents have occurred frequently.With the occurrence of many social events,social emotions often show certain regularity and trend,and the politicization of social emotions is one of the important performances.On the one hand,this phenomenon reflects the basic state of Chinese society in the transition period,and on the other hand it also shows the responsibility of the Chinese government.As an important factor leading the development of social events and the trend of public opinion,the politicization of social emotions often places the government at the center of social events and public opinion,which makes the public point their negative emotions towards the government and indirectly causes the decline of the credibility of the government.Therefore,under the requirements of the modernization of national governance capacity and the national governance system,it is urgent to explore the path and basic rules of the politicization of the social emotions so as to have some understanding and prevention at the theoretical and practical levels.The article uses the method of network cases study to analyze the microblog comments on 50 social events from 2013 to 2018,and finds that there are some certain general rules in the politicization of social emotions.Therefore,based on the definition of related concepts,it is concluded that under the influence of external stimulation and public psychological instincts and deviations,social emotions change from fears pointing to social events to grief towards event losses to anger directed at political factors,and finally realize politicization.Specifically,the path of the politicization of social emotions is:(1)When social events are first launched,the unexpectedness and novelty of social events deviate from the public's deterministic tendency,and the severity of social events contradicts the public's safety expectations;combined with the anxiety tone of social emotions,fear is awakened.Fear points to social events and generates onlookers;(2)onlookers stimulates the coverage of social events by multiple media,and the relevant information is gradually enriched.At this time,the destructive effect of social events is in line with the public's loss concern,and the involvement effect of social events contradicts the public's moral judgment.Coupled with the high concentration of fear,grief is constantly gathering.Grief points to event losses and increases the public's involvement in social events;(3)The expanding impact of social events has enabled relevant functional departments to respond to them.The fuzzy and delayed responses made by relevant functional departments have fallen from the expectations of the public,and the government's management responsibilities match the public's political attribution.There is also a trend of social emotional release caused by excessive grief.Anger is boiling and starting to release.The anger is directed at political factors,manifested as the catharsis of political emotions.At this time,social emotions continue to rise and spread.The politicization of social emotions is the result of the interaction of the government and relevant functional departments,the media and public.Therefore,defusing the politicization of social emotions needs to take multi-measures simultaneously,which includes enhancing the government's ability,establishing a good government image;giving full play to the role of the media in guiding positive social emotions;and cultivating rational participants.
