A Study On Community Support For Relieving Depression Of The Empty-nest Elderly In Urban Women

Elderly Depression has become a social problem in China.According to a 2018 study by Dai Bing et Al.,10.1 percent of urban seniors in Sichuan had depressive symptoms.1%.In order to pay attention to the vulnerable group of the elderly--Group work and case work were used to relieve the depression of the empty-nest elderly women in town.The starting point of this research is the third type of support,which is different from formal support and informal support.Community support can better help to make up for the lack of formal support and effectively improve the problem of unprofessional informal support.First of all,the research of this topic takes the mutual support of the female urban community as the main intervention point,takes the female urban empty nest elderly women as the main intervention point,and takes the theory and practice of community support as the foundation of intervention point,based on the field theory,group work and case work were used as the main intervention points,and the process,effectiveness and depression scores of the group members were comprehensively evaluated after the end of the group work and the case work,the practical work mode of support-mutual assistance type is summarized.Secondly,the study used the GDS-SF as the main testing method,and found that: for the urban women empty-nesters,community support combining formal and informal social support can help relieve the depressed mood of the urban female empty-nesters,the method and effective way to enhance the intensity of community support for depression of empty-nest women.The innovation of the research lies in the attention to the spiritual needs of the urban women empty-nest elderly and the gender differences,and the application of social work skills in practice.The results showed that the depression of Urban empty-nest elderly women decreased by 2.10 points,and the total social support increased by 2.42 points,and the subjective social support increased significantly.It can be seen that social work practice constructs the connection of community support resources in the process of community support to relieve the Depression of the urban female empty-nest elderly,it has a significant positive effect on relieving the depressed mood of the urban female empty-nest elderly.At the same time,because of the limitation of many objective factors such as time,space,material support,and the number of research objects,this research has carried on the thorough summary and reflection of the whole research process in the course of the last research.
