Research On The Construction Of The Social Support System For The Empty-nest Elderly To Provide For The Elderly At Hom

With the intensification of the aging process and the transformation of the traditional family structure,the number of empty nest families in China has increased rapidly,and the problem of home care for the "empty nest elderly" is becoming more and more obvious.In recent years,although the city community home-based care services has made considerable progress,the social security status is perfect,policies and programmes to support the elderly have been implemented,but the pension problem Empty Nester still faces many challenges,such as the single content of home service and the low specialization of community workers.The "three helps in one" as an old service project in P community of Yangzhou city provides a good opportunity for in-depth study of the social support of the empty nest elderly in urban communities.On the basis of understanding the present status and service demand of the elderly in the community,we can build a more complete social support system of "Helped-self-help-help people".Through field observation,interview and questionnaire survey,it is found that the main problems faced by the elderly in the P community are the low utilization rate of old activity facilities,the lack of demand for living care,serious formalization of old activities,lack of spiritual comfort,lack of interpersonal interaction and weak social support network.The reasons for these problems include:the lack of community staff(especially rehabilitative practitioners,psychologists and other professionals),the lack of community information for the old service information,the limited community aged activities and lack of activities,the deterioration of the physiological function of the empty nesters and the changes in the heart,which affect their social interaction..The implementation of the P community's "three help in one" old service project has effectively alleviated the various pension problems faced by the empty nest elderly.The construction of the social support system for empty nest elderly can start from three aspects:ramming the support basis,strengthening the support of the social organization and promoting the self initiative of the empty nest old man.Lay a solid foundation in support of home-based care services,in addition to play the leading role of the government,the community should also strengthen the community home care center functions,improve the community health service level,enhance the professional community workers;In strengthening the support of social organizations,the community should combine the resources of various social organizations to expand and enrich the content of the community to serve the old.In promoting the self initiative of the empty nest elderly,the society and the community should not only provide the platform and opportunity to participate in voluntary activities,but also affirm then-value in the process of participation.
