Grassroots social self-governance is an important part of social construction and a concentrated embodiment of the development of socialist democracy in China. For example,The 19 th CPC national congress stressed that “we should shift the focus of social governance down to the grassroots level, give play to the role of social organizations, realize the autonomy of the grassroots”.At present, grassroots social self-governance has made great achievements after more than 30 years of development. However, affected by various factors, there are still some problems in practice. For example, bribery elections and negative elections make democratic elections flow in form;in addition, some places lack the necessary constraints on managerial power, which makes conflicts happen from time to time because the power of managers is too concentrated. Therefore, this paper has important practical significance for the study of grassroots social self-governance.Previous studies use qualitative analysis methods to conduct research on grassroots social self-governance,while this paper uses quantitative analysis methods. In this paper, the agent-based modeling and simulation method is used to describe the interpersonal interactions in grass-roots society from the perspective of repeated game theory. Then, the interpersonal interaction simulation models are designed in the situations without managers, and with managers in different authority scenarios, respectively. Finally, this paper concludes that:(1)for the grassroots social self-governance,the democratic elections is necessary.(2)In grassroots social self-governance,it is necessary to empower managers reasonably, particularly to limit “predatory” authority.(3)Under such grassroots social self-governance,the one who can be always cooperative is the most successful.
