The Study Of Process Of Transmission From NPO To Social Enterprise

Non-Profit Organizations in China have been growing rapidly in recent years,yet the effect from disadvantages inside and outside have become more than ignorable as well.For instance,the limitation of management capability and institution-building,drawbacks from social surroundings.limited support from social resources and the legislation defects,all these disadvantages push NPOs to look for new ways to survive and develop.And Social Enterprise may be one of the feasible options,since that it solves the problem of how to achieve the publie-interest aim and make economic income simultaneously.This thesis studies the process of transmission from NPO to Social Enterprise taken Baite Education as the study object.also,the thesis focus on the analysis of the process of transmission,the source of capital and the recourse dependence.Baite Education is the first NPO in China focusing on economic and civic education of children and teenagers.During the operation,it has been searching for a mode which can help the organization maintain a sustainable development.Finally,it successfully transmitted into a social enterprise in 2014.In the mode of social enterprise,it expanded the influence of the institution and its programs by enhancing its competence and providing better public service,meanwhile,it made profits by business operations and then utilized these profits to develop the institution.Baite Group set up its own FQ social enterprise as a source of profit,yet by the way of NPO as controlling shareholder of the social enterprise,it can make sure that the public-interest aim to be realized and profits all devoted to organization development.Using Social Capital Theory and Resource Dependence Theory,the study shows that during the transmission from NPO to social enterprise,the organization need to establish the core competitive advantages and operation mode first,thus can reduce resource dependence and enhance the ability of sustainable development.Additionally,the social enterprise must take good advantages of social capital as well as resources integration.Finally,the economic function is the necessary condition of sustainable development,and the property of public-benefit requires the condition that NPO must be the controlling holder of the social enterprise.
