Non-Profit Organization (NPO) has being under a vigorous development along with the time advance. As one kind of effective organization management tools, performance appraisal can be used in the management of Non-Profit Organization. And how to introduce the performance appraisal into the NPO's management has become a discussion topic which is worth paying attention to. Through the correlation analysis, this article combines the theory of performance appraisal with the management and development of the Non-Profit Organization. As a result, it constructs one preliminary frame for the applications of NPO's performance appraisal. The article begins from the discussion of the three basic concepts, including the concept of NPO, performance appraisal also the definition of NPO's performance appraisal. In the second part, this article further proposes the necessity in the implements of NPO's performance appraisal and some difficult questions must be faced in this process. The third apart analyzes with emphasis the concrete implementation process of NPO's performance appraisal, which contains five aspects such as the basic principles it follows, the main body and the object constructions, the environment construction, the main routine and so on. The next two parts separately elaborates two important aspects we must pay more attention to. They are the system of the indicators as well as the main methods. About the indicators system, this article carries on the proof from the two points of view, one the general performance indicators, the other the concrete performance indicators. About the implementation methods, the fifth part in this article separately enumerates several methods. For instance, the Balanced Scorecard, Benchmarking Management, Total Quality Management, the grade estimation, Management by Objective, essential event evaluation, and the 360° Performance Appraisal. The article's last part takes the performance appraisal in the Non-Profit Hospital as an example, specifically analyzes its significance, the matters needing solved, indicators and methods.
