Research On The Role Of Government In The Development Of Xi'an Convention And Exhibition Industry

In recent years,the development of the convention and exhibition economy of our country plays an important role to the development of regional economy and even to the national economy.Convention and exhibition industry is a modern service industry which integrates various industries.With the opening and development of China's foreign economy,it has gradually become active,and has led to the common development of a series of related industries,such as tourism,Hotel industry,logistics industry and transportation industry.It has played an irreplaceable role in the economic development and cultural exchange of the whole region.In Xi'an,the exhibition industry has a certain scale,but compared with developed regions and countries at home and abroad;it is still not mature enough.In the development of exhibition industry,the government plays a very important role.As an industry to be vigorously developed by the government,in the current development process of China's Convention and Exhibition industry,how should the government define its own position and give full play to government functions,while helping the Convention and exhibition industry develop healthily,stably and rapidly,to promote the economic development of the whole region,which is the issue discussed in this paper.This paper takes Xi'an as an example,through literature analysis,comparative analysis and case analysis,expounds the development status of exhibition industry at home and abroad,and analyses and studies the exhibition industry under the management and leadership of Xi'an Municipal Government.And try to combine the new public service theory,planning theory,industrial organization theory and related exhibition economic theory,to explore the development status and existing problems of Xi'an's exhibition industry,that is,low degree of marketization,inadequate scale of exhibitions,fewer international famous exhibitions,lack of professionals and low utilization rate of exhibition venues.From the macro point of view,the government's suggestions and opinions in the development of convention and exhibition economy are given.The government should take the government-led development as the main factor,and promote the Convention and exhibition by tourism brand.The government's role as the helm of the Convention and exhibition economy in Xi'an is clearly defined.The government should formulate relevant laws and regulations,increase support and macro-control,and establish and improve the role of trade associations.These countermeasures will be more conducive to solve the government's confused problems in guiding the development of the exhibition industry,but also conducive to the development of the whole social economy.
