Guizhou Cooperative Movement During The Republic Of China Era In "Guizhou Cooperative Newsletter"

The cooperative economy is an important means for the development of the economy in the world since the 20 th century.The cooperative movement is an economic and social movement worldwide.After being introduced to China in the early 20 th century,it was quickly transformed into a system tool for rebuilding the countryside.All localities successively promoted cooperative movements in rural areas.As the most important means of dissemination of ideas in the 20 th century,the newspapers and periodicals have become an important position for the dissemination and guidance of the cooperation ideas of various parties during this period.The main research object of this topic is the "Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter" and the Guizhou Cooperation Movement in the same period.The Guizhou Cooperation Movement was the most important economic and social movement after the National Government took office in Guizhou during the Republic of China era.The Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter is an important first-hand material to witness this history.This paper uses the literature research method,the combination of inductive and deductive methods and the comparative research method to analyze the vast texts in the "Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter" and other related literatures,grasp the overall picture of the cooperation movement at that time,and finally the Guizhou Cooperation Movement and "Guizhou Cooperation News" for functional analysis.Through research,The Guizhou Development Cooperation Movement was late.In 1935,with the Kuomintang's entry into Guizhou,a cooperative movement began.it was found that the early Guizhou Cooperation Movement paid attention to propaganda,education,and construction of the rear,and gradually began to lay down basic institutions such as the cooperation vault.In contrast,the "Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter" of the same period also focused on propaganda and cooperation and rear construction,emphasizing the educational function of newspapers and periodicals.The study found that during this period,the Guizhou Cooperation Movement and the "New County System Movement" expanded rapidly,and the cooperative movement was completely transformed from a rural economic self-rescue into a social and political improvement movement.At the same time,the report of "Guizhou Cooperative Newsletter" has also changed,turning to guide the development of cooperatives around the country,and to promote the construction of wartime rear.Towards the late stage of the cooperative movement,the study found that the developmental defects of the Guizhou cooperative movement broke out due to the economic collapse of the National Government and eventually failed.On the one hand,the "Guizhou Cooperative Newsletter" had to be published in conjunction with other publications due to the collapse of the market,making the purpose of running the newspaper no longer clear.With the decline of the main body of the report,the "Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter" had to finally disappear.This paper also makes a functional analysis of Guizhou Cooperative Movement and "Guizhou Cooperative Newsletter",and analyses their historical status.The author believes that the origin of the cooperative movement is the economic self-help of poor and weak rural areas.However,the Guizhou cooperative movement during the Republic of China era relied excessively on government intervention.Although it was conducive to the rapid spread of the movement,it lost its self-rescue ability,coupled with the shortage of rural capital in Guizhou,the turbulent social and political turmoil and the stubborn feudal forces.The sport eventually failed.Although the Guizhou Cooperation Movement finally failed,the role of the Guizhou Cooperation Newsletter during this period was remarkable.First,its anti-Japanese propaganda helped to boost the morale of the military and civilians during the war of resistance;secondly,its reporting strategy due to changes in time and place,and a large amount of discussion on the object of the cooperation,the cooperation movement,added momentum to the development of the cooperative movement;The third is to combine the cooperative thinking with traditional Chinese moral thoughts,which is beneficial to the dissemination of cooperative ideas and to the improvement of social morality.The "Guizhou Cooperation News" report on the Guizhou Cooperation Movement has also become a valuable historical data for studying the Guizhou cooperation movement during this period.
