Research On The Presentation Of Military Media Image Based On “Ministry Of National Defense Of The People's Republic Of China”

“Reasonably shaping the image of the army and building a world-class new army ”is the core concept put forward by Comrade Xi Jinping in the important "August 1st" speech in 2017.Against the background of the mainstream era of "sympathy for the communist party of the world",China has entered the decisive period of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the great Chinese dream.As the security guards of the country,the Chinese army plays a vital role in China's image building and overall development.The military image is not only derived from the objective presentation of soldiers' behaviors,but also from the social public's psychological cognition of the army.At present,the way to directly influence the public cognition is the media image of the army presented by the news media through the report on soldiers' deeds.As the official media for the presentation and dissemination of the image of the Chinese military,the "Ministry of National Defense of China" has unchallenged authority.The analysis and study on the presentation of the image of the military media is of great significance for promoting the unity between the military and the people,enhancing the "soft power" of the military and enhancing the international status of the country.This article uses the website of the "Ministry of National Defense of China" as the research subject of the Chinese military media image.Combining the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,and on the basis of carefully reviewing the key reports about media image of the military released from the very website in the past two years,this paper summarizes the media image and the significance of shaping the military image.Based on the large number of military activities reported by the website of the Ministry of National Defense of China,the author researches from the number,theme,and content of the reports,makes a detailed analysis about the "military diplomacy","armed forces" and "military actions",summarizes the characteristics of the website of the Ministry of National Defense of China for other military media to learn from,and proposes corresponding promotion strategies by considering website insufficiencies.The study finds that in the reports of the three columns of "military diplomacy","armed forces" and "military actions" on the website of the Ministry of National Defense of China,there are certain differences in the topics and the number of reports.The "military diplomacy" column takes the security of national information into consideration,and increases the coverage of foreign visits and exchange activities to make up for the shortcomings of the diplomatic methods of visiting and studying abroad.The column of "armed forces" reflects the equal responsibilities and importance of each theater of operations in the balanced reporting of China's five war zones.The establishment of strategic support forces in the military coverage reflects the wise choice of the Chinese military to follow the time and build a network information technology force,which means the all-around development of the Chinese military.The low proportion of reports on military support and militia reserve reflects that peace is still the mainstream in the world at the present stage.The "military actions" column consists of five parts including joint performance,peacekeeping,counter-terrorism,rescue,and escort,which achieves the effect of double the result with half the effort by three-dimensional presentation of the military's media image.Furthermore,the author focuses on the analysis of word frequency,supplemented by pictures and video analysis,and makes a detailed analysis of the mainstream media image of the military presented in the website of the Ministry of National Defense of China.The research finds that the reports of the website of the Ministry of National Defense of China are rigorous and accurate.As a part of government functions,the website has shaped the image of the people's army in home--"loyal fighters who are politically and ideologically strong","tough warriors who are expert in military technology" and "righteous gentlemen who are strict in discipline".To the world the website presents the grand images of the "troops of defending sovereignty”,"troops of diligence and discipline" and "the troops of maintaining the world peace",as well as troops who are open-minded and dedicative.
