Research On Old-age Dilemma Of Urban Only-child Parents And Its Countermeasures

China began to implement the family planning policy in the 1970 s.The implementation of this policy has obviously controlled the population of our country.However,with the passage of time,the social problems caused by this policy have become increasingly complex.Among these problems,the plight of the only-child parents in urban one-child families has attracted wide attention from all walks of life.In the next 10-20 years,a large number of only-child parents will enter the old age in cities of China.The pension problem of only-child parents in cities will inevitably become the focus of social problems.In this paper,286 only-child parents from 15 communities in Huanghua City were investigated by questionnaires,and the pension status and pension dilemma of only-child parents in cities were analyzed.The survey found that only-child parents are facing three major difficulties in the process of providing for the aged: first,in terms of economic support,some urban only-child parents do not attach importance to the old-age reserve in the early stage,and lack of capital supplement after entering the old age.In addition,urban only-child's economic ability is limited,after meeting the needs of their own development and raising their children,they can not give more financial support to their parents;secondly,in daily care,urban only-child not only has to work hard,but also take care of their own family,so urban only-child parents receive less care from their children;thirdly,in the spiritual comfort side.On the one hand,because of the conflict between the emotional needs of urban only-child parents and the spiritual support ability of urban only-child,the spiritual comfort of urban only-child parents is generally not satisfied.In addition,after in-depth interviews with only-child parents in some cities,it is known that the situation of only-child parents in cities is different,and the needs for old-age care are different.These problems must arouse the high awareness of the government,the only-child parents in cities and the only-child in cities.Based on the predicament of urban only-child parents' pension and the actual situation of urban only-child families' pension in China,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to solve the problem of urban only-child parents' pension.Firstly,the government should strengthen the support for urban only-child parents' pension,realize the integration of pension services,and play a leading role in solving the problem of urban only-child parents' pension.Secondly,urban only-child parents should improve their self-security ability,change the traditional old-age concept,and prepare for the old-age from the economic,life and spiritual aspects.Finally,urban only-child should strengthen the responsibility of supporting parents,while meeting their parents' economic and living needs,provide more spiritual comfort to parents and meet their practical needs in all aspects.This paper studies the most urgent pension needs of urban only-child parents,and guides urban only-child families to actively cope with the plight of pension,which has important practical significance for improving people's livelihood and building a harmonious socialist society.
