Research On The Influencing Factors Of The Pension Mode Choice Of The Parents Of The Only Child

The one-child policy has been implemented for 30 years,resulting in a large number of one-child groups in China,and more one-child families.Some parents of only children have already entered the aging stage of life.When the small core structure of only child family and facing multiple social and economic pressure,it is particularly important to explore the influencing factors of the pension mode choice of only child parents.This paper analyzes the relevant influencing factors and puts forward practical Suggestions,which is of great significance for the government to make relevant old-age care policies and provide relevant old-age care services.This paper firstly expounds the relevant background and significance of the research on the influencing factors of the pension mode selection of the parents of the only child,and then summarizes the relevant literature by sorting out the domestic and foreign literatures,and then puts forward the theoretical basis of this paper and expounds the basic concepts of this paper.Secondly,four research hypotheses were established,relevant indicator variables were selected,and the overall situation of the two target groups was analyzed by using descriptive statistics based on the micro-data of China elderly social tracking survey in 2014,including the descriptive analysis of the sample of parents with only child and parents with non-only child.The correlation between each independent variable and endowment pattern was analyzed by cross contingency table.Then,the influence of individual characteristic factors,health factors,intergenerational support factors and social factors on the choice of pension mode of singleton parents was empirically analyzed by the use of Multinomial Logit Model,and the results were compared with those of non-singleton parents.Finally,according to the theoretical basis and empirical analysis results,the author concludes the unique influencing factors and relevant countermeasures for the parents of only children to choose the pension model.The results of this study show that parents of only children are more willing to spend their own independent retirement life.There are nine factors that influence the choice of the only child's parents on the endowment mode,including marital status,education level,household registration,personal income,parents' financial support for their children and parents' care for their grandchildren,whether they participate in community activities,their impression of the nursing home and whether they agree to support their children for their old age.On the research results,this paper puts forward the following recommendations,the government should increase the only-child parents endowment subsidies,promote community home endowment pattern,improve the quality of the institutions endowment,encourage the only children in their parents work life,pay more attention to the intergenerational demand of singleton female parents encourage one-child parents endowment patterns of the new attempt.
