Apple is the most beautiful sign of Jingning today, and it is also the most important support for economic development of Jingning. The Jingning apple is a product of agricultural modernization, under the combined effect of local natural conditions, local planting experience, and government and market. After the rise of the apple, the rural areas of Jingning County were involved in the capitalist market economy, and a series of changes occurred.Based on the field investigation, this paper is located in Songbu Village,Jiahe Township,Jingning County,a typical northwestern rural village. It uses the method of economic anthropology to study the apple industry in Songbao Village, mainly from the production and sales of apples. It tries to answer the question "How do native farmers view the development of the apple industry in Jingning? What is the significance of the apple industry to the traditional rural areas and the lives of farmers?" The main conclusions are as follows: The apple industry is the result of the joint efforts of the state, the market and the laborers. The three have jointly promoted the transformation of apple cultivation from traditional to modernization and commercialization;after the rise of the apple industry,The peasants reconstructed new life in the traditional order of life, transplanted the original traditional social culture into a new space field, and then got the general increase of economic income;although the apple industry increased the income of local farmers,But the fundamental improvement of peasant life didn't achieved.Apples are only high value-added agricultural products;the process of local society being involved in the capitalist market is not a complete disintegration of the original social system, but an adaptation, that is,social change is a process of “dualistic” interaction, and the result is an intertwined state of coexistence between tradition and modernity.
