Economic globalization and regional integration is the key feature of today'seconomic development. Agricultural internationalization has developed in the late 2O~"century and will play an important role in economic globalization. Every country'sagriculture will mutually impact and develop under this background. China will accede intoWTO, it's agricultural development will face a new international environment. Withincreasing trend of economic globalization and agricultural internationalization, on the onehand, China can fully use domestic and international market and resource to increase thedeveloping opportunities. On the other hand, foreign high quality and low price productswill have some impact on China's domestic agricultural production and marketing, someproduct's condition will even become worse. Facing new opportunities and challengesbring about by economic globalization, how to protect domestic market, lessen the negativeimpact and encourage the sustainable agricultural development to support the country'seconomy stable development while complying with international rules, are the urgentissues for China's agricultural study. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore on suchissues.Firstly, the dissertation makes a study on the formation, representation form andinfluence of economic globalization and agricultural internationalization. Secondly, itanalyzes China's agricultural trade policy orientation under the condition of economicglobalization. Thirdly, it retrospects the history of China's agricultural trade, analyzes4China's agricultural trade pattern and feature. It is found that at its changing stage tostrategic agricultural trade, China's main export products are labor intensive products andtheir processed products, main import products are land intensive products and theirprocessed products, China's agricultural trade partners and products are not highlymulitilized. Although the contribution of foreign currency is decreasing, it is still veryimportant. Although during the market-orientated reform, China's trade policy, regime andmanagement has changed deeply, there is still some regime and management deficiencyneeded to be adjusted. Therefore, to positively participate in the process of economicglobalization and agricultural internationalization is the inevitable choice for China'sagricultural sustainable development, only when China positively participate in this processcan it take the opportunities and lessen the negative impact.Good tools are prerequisite to the successful execution of a job. To deeply analyzeChina's agricultural comparative advantage, agricultural trade and the impact of economicglobalization on its agricultural production and trade, the thesis establishes quantitativeanalysis system and econometrics simulation model. Using the above instruments, thedissertation studies China's agricultural trade industrial feature, trade competitiveness,comparative advantage, domestic support and the impact of economic globalization onChina's agricultural trade according to economic principle. The study finds that China'sagricultural trade comply with its resource endowment, tradable products withcompetitiveness are mainly labor intensive products, while tradable products lack ofcompetitiveness are mainly land intensive products. Different products in different placeand with different management pattern have different competitiveness. Generally speaking,China's current agricultural trade and production pattern is complying with the principle ofcomparative advantage and internationalization. During this process, the opportunities andchallenges are coexisting for China's agricultural trade.
