In order to test the pen for the imperial examinations,Bai Juyi's "A and B judgments" are not only literary, but also have literary aesthetic value. It is based on the legal culture and ritual system of the Tang Dynasty. The role of order is also an important model for the Tang Dynasty scholars to learn and judge. Therefore,"A and B" is a typical representative of the combination of law and literature. The verdict is drawn to the prison, and the legal value of the judgment document is discretionary. At the same time,it uses a paradox, and has a certain literary character when it is longer than lyricism. The judgment is based on the law,and the application of the judgment of the facts of the case is straightforward. The literary expression of the judgment is equal to the practicality and aesthetics of the judgment. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the "A and B judgments",explore the traditional Chinese legal thoughts, respond to the rationality of the existence of law and literature, and the possibility of balance between the two,so as to provide some ideas for the current reform of judicial judgment documents.
