Research On The New Changes Of Cult Activities And The Issues Of Governance In China

Cults are a worldwide problem,and also a problem that China must deal with.At the end of the 20 th century,"Falungong" became a problem of cults,affecting China and even the world.Since the 21 st century,with the deepening of China's social transformation,social structure,interest mechanism,cultural beliefs and other aspects have undergone tremendous changes,hence the new changes in cult activities.In recent years,cults such as "Almighty God" and "Hua Zang Zong Men" have entered the public's view because of destructive crimes.It shows that the cult has a rising trend so that it is necessary to pay attention.This paper uses the triangular mutual authentication design of questionnaire survey,indepth interview method and literature research method to summarize the new changes of current cult activities.From the perspective of crime situation,the members of the organization tend to be younger and more educated,the organization activities are more rigorous and concealed,and the anti-human,anti-social and anti-government tendencies are more obvious;from the perspective of crime,the spiritual control of cults has changed from folk tricks to diversified "brainwashing",The Internet becomes widely used to preach these cults,the way of survival enters industrialization,and the means of committing crimes is violent;from the perspective of crime law,the cult variation organization are increasing,the backbone members are self-innovative,and the internationalization trend is more distinct.There are multiple reasons for these new changes in cult activities.At the macro level,complex historical origins and realistic conditions gave birth to the emergence and development of cults.The current background of social transformation has brought about crowd anxiety and confusion.The socialization and secularization of religion also provide opportunities for cult breeding.From the perspective of the daily activities theory,in terms of the perpetrators,the cult leader controls the people through an abnormal spirits and gains self-satisfaction by taking advantage of the interests;from the victim's point of view,the believer has the tendency,acceptability and susceptibility of the victim;The cult governance has a problem of lagging the system construction,and at the same time,the construction of the anti-cult team is also insufficient.Improvements in countermeasures towards Cults is proposed as follows: from both macro and micro levels.First,guided by the theory of social control,improve legal regulation,promote the development of people's livelihood,and strengthen international cooperation.For offenders,the combination of imprisonment correction and social correction should be used,and individual detention should be carried out and scientific education transformation should be implemented;for the victim,we can use the target enforcement method,and victim prevention and situation prevention should be strengthened from cultural education and propaganda guidance;Regulators should establish a governance mechanism that covers the overall situation and enhance their ability to manarge religion.
