Research On Natural Disaster Relief In Gansu Province In The Early Period Of The Founding Of The People's Republic Of China

Because of the particularity and complexity of its natural conditions,Gansu province is a region with high incidence of natural disasters and is also a region affected by disasters.The frequent occurrence of natural disasters has become an important factor restricting social development in Gansu Province.In the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China,under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China and the government,the people of all ethnic groups in Gansu Province United and cooperated with each other,and achieved unprecedented results in disaster relief and reduction.At present,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The concept of "five-in-one" is having a profound impact on people's way of production and life.The concept of "Qingshan Mountain is Jinshan Silver Mountain" is being firmly promoted throughout the country,but it promotes harmony between man and nature.It is a natural disaster that must be crossed to achieve rural rejuvenation and build a well-off society in an all-round way.As an important constraint to the survival and development of mankind,how to properly handle the relationship between human beings and the natural world and better follow the path of sustainable development is an eternal topic on which we need to think.As General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Fighting against natural disasters is an eternal issue for the survival and development of mankind.We need to deal more consciously with the relationship between good people and nature,properly handle the relationship between disaster prevention and reduction and disaster relief and economic and social development,constantly sum up our experience in resisting various natural disasters,implement responsibilities,improve systems,integrate resources,and coordinate efforts to improve thepeople's awareness of disaster prevention and relief.We will comprehensively improve the National capacity for comprehensive disaster prevention,reduction and relief." In the current social and historical background,it is of practical significance to study the successful experience of natural disaster relief in Gansu province in the early years of the founding of the country,for the implementation of the current strategy of constructing ecological civilization,precision poverty alleviation and rural revitalization,and for building a well-off society in an all-round way.This article mainly adopts the research method of combining historical investigation with realistic revelation,and makes full use of the historical materials related to natural disasters that occurred in the early days of the founding of Gansu Province,and summarizes the frequent disasters and major economic losses caused by disasters in Gansu Province in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.In order to provide experience for natural disaster relief work in today's society,it will provide useful reference for the construction of an ecologically civilized society and help build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way.
