Research On Group Work Intervention In The Reconstruction Of Social Support Network For The Elderly In Nursing Homes

Under the background of increasingly severe aging in our country,people's choice of old-age care mode is also undergoing great changes.Traditional family pension can no longer meet the personalized needs of all the elderly,and institutional pension has gradually become a better choice for some elderly people.However,the elderly will encounter various problems after entering the nursing home,among which the most difficult problem is the deconstruction of the social support network for the elderly admitted to the nursing home.Based on the analysis of existing studies,this study carried out the social work practice research on the 8 subjects.After 3 months of observation,implementation and evaluation,the influencing factors,practical methods and intervention effects of the reconstruction of social support network for the elderly in nursing homes were further understood.This research is mainly divided into three aspects.First,the background and significance of the research are analyzed,and the literature review on the research on the reconstruction of social support network for the elderly and the intervention of social work in such issues is carried out.Secondly,this study defines the concept of "social support network",which can be classified into formal support and informal support according to the source.Formal social support refers to the support provided by the state,community and non-profit organizations.Then,this study analyzes the status quo of formal social support for the elderly in nursing homes from three sources: political institutions,pension institutions and social organizations.Informal support refers to the support provided by family,relatives,friends,classmates,colleagues and neighbors.Informal support is an important entry point for social work professionals to intervene in the reconstruction of social support network for the elderly.This paper introduces the sources and characteristics of informal support for elderly people admitted to the nursing home.The acquisition strategy of social support is also the focus of this study.In this paper,the social support acquisition strategies for the elderly are divided into three modes: ego,core and enlargement.Subsequently,this study used the observation method and interview method to analyze the group activities carried out by W nursing home by referring to the stages of prediction,planning,intervention,evaluation and case conclusion.Finally,three methods,namely observation method,before-and-after measurement comparison method and interview method,were used to comprehensively evaluate the effect of the group work from four aspects: the client's satisfaction with the service,the beforeand-after measurement comparison of the client's social support network,the before-andafter measurement comparison of the members of the control group and the qualitative evaluation of the client.Through the above research,this study three conclusions: one is the expansion of large social support network for the elderly life better,expansion of large social support strategy can resist because the old body function and environment change and the challenge of life for itself with the social support network and deconstruction of breakdown and easier to repair;Second,the reconstruction of social support network for the elderly is mainly solved from the following aspects: creating an atmosphere suitable for the elderly to conduct social communication,enhancing the willingness of the elderly to rebuild the social support network,cultivating the elderly's ability to rebuild the social support network and improving the utilization of the social support network for the elderly.Third,this study believes that the team's working method is effective in the reconstruction of social support network for the elderly in nursing homes.
